This is my second year painting at Bethany Beach, Delaware (I have been sketching there every August for 15 years). I changed to a more horizontal format (16 x 6 inches) to place emphasis on the horizon. This came about after a discussion with my oldest sister, Diana, who is an accomplished landscape painter in California. The finite of earth and infinite of the sky is a fascinating intersection.
