I started sketching pastels at Bethany Beach, Delaware each summer during our annual vacation in 2002. I would rise before dawn and, depending on the weather, stroll over to the beach and work for a couple of hours until the sun rose high enough to make the light less interesting. This is a sample of one image from each of the past ten years. I took a year off and now have returned, this time painting (guache). We'll see where that leads. Each sketch is 9 x 6 inches.
